February 11, 2003 Boston, MA In a unique partnership, Hardigg Cases and Technomad Loudspeakers have introduced a line of high-powered weatherproof military PA systems designed for a multitude of mobile and permanent audio applications. Each system ships with a pre-wired amplifier and signal processing rack, built into a Hardigg ProRack flight case, complete with microphones, CD/Tape players, speaker stands, and cables. Technomad loudspeakers incorporate Hardigg flight case technology, offering a unique combination of excellent audio quality and military-grade reliability. Technomad military PA systems are reliable, rugged, ready-to-use, and offer high quality audio output at a range of up to one mile. The military PA systems can be deployed in 15-minutes or less by one person, and no audio expertise is required to setup or use the system.
Since 1996, Technomad audio systems have been in use with military and government agencies including the White House Communications Agency, Zussman Urban Combat Training Center, Ft. Irwin, Ft. Knox, USMC Parris Island, GTMO, Seymour Johnson AFB, Offutt AFB, Naval Undersea Warfare Centers, and dozens of other US military facilities worldwide.
Technomad mil-spec audio systems offer unmatched full-spectrum music and speech intelligibility far superior to traditional horn speaker systems. Depending upon the system configuration, a Technomad audio system can provide complete 180º to 360º audio output coverage for up to 1 mile from the loudspeaker, making them ideal for permanent and mobile installations, such as training facilities, tent cities and refuge camps. Mobile versions of the systems operate from 24 volt DC power, and are ideal for PSYOPS use, training, deception, and other operations.
Technomad audio systems also offer optional Link Kit technology that allows multiple Technomad / Hardigg PA systems to be chained together to form very large-area PA systems (i.e. 10 square miles). Link Kits are available in fiber-optic or wireless models. Link technology permits each individual system to be used independently for local operations - i.e. voice paging, music playback, etc, but combined when needed for base-wide warning and paging use.
Each PA system is configured with either two or four loudspeakers, speaker stands, and weatherproof cables. Signal processing equipment is factory installed and wired into an 8U Hardigg ProRack flight case. Signal processing includes a matched power rated amplifier, a (5 channel) channel microphone line mixer with CD/Tape Inputs and microphone inputs, a rack-mounted CD player and tape player, and a high quality hand-held microphone. No additional proprietary hardware is required to add additional audio sources. Each speaker system is plug-and-play and completely pre-wired at the factory, ready to use out-of-the-box.
Technomad loudspeakers are completely weatherproof and can be setup in any weather conditions. The speaker cabinets are self-casing, and all mounting cabinet hardware (including handles, latches and pole-mounting sockets) is recessed and built into the cabinet body. The loudspeaker cabinets interlock and stack together, and can be palletized or transported on dedicated transport dollies. Technomad loudspeakers can also stack and interlock with Hardigg AL3018 series cases.
