September 30, 2005 - Santa Monica, California : Centerline Music and Entertainment recording artists, Little King, is proud to announce their 2005 Western States concert tour dates. Little King's regional concert tour, their last for 2005, is in anticipation of the band's first full-length Centerline Music and Entertainment label release, VIRUS DIVINE, scheduled to hit store shelves in Q1 2006. Joining Little King will be co-headliners, the Los Angeles-based Punk n' Roll outfit, Butane. The Little King/Butane tour kicks off on October 18, 2005 at CLUB HELIOS, in El Paso, Texas, with high-profile performances on October 21 at THE GIG, in Scottsdale, Arizona, and THE VIPER ROOM, in Los Angeles, California, on October 28, before concluding at the Genoveva Center, in Santa Fe, New Mexico on November 6, 2005.
The Little King/Butane tour will surely appeal to diverse and eclectic musical tastes, ranging from the melody-infused, guitar driven, power-trio prog/AOR rock of Little King to Butane's combustible substance, edgy and in-your-face, Warped Tour-esque, bleeding edge rock and roll. While Little King cites more cerebral and intricate 'musician-oriented' songwriting influences, drawing new fans from Rush, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree and Coheed and Cambria loyalists, fans of Green Day, Blink 182, AFI, The Offspring and Rancid are all potential future ravenous Butane aficionados.
Hailing from El Paso, Texas, the progressive/AOR-oriented, Little King was formed in 1996 and has previously released two full-length, self-produced CDs; Time Extension and Transmountain. The band has received significant press coverage both regionally and nationally and their music has been added to over 200 national college radio, as well as countless international radio and web radio, station playlists. Little King 's forthcoming 2006 CD release, VIRUS DIVINE, was mixed by Terry Brown, a legendary producer/mixer/engineer who has worked with numerous Gold and Platinum-selling acts, including ten RUSH albums, as well as Fates Warning, Voivod, Klaatu, The Who, Cutting Crew, Manfred Mann, Donovan, Traffic and Procol Harem. VIRUS DIVINE tracking was done at Krank Studios in El Paso, Texas, and Mr. Brown mixed the recordings in Toronto, Canada.
VIRUS DIVINE was engineered by Ministry bassist, Eddy Garcia, and final production and mastering will be handled by Centerline's president/producer/composer Howard Scott Lipp. Mr. Lipp has produced acts such as the Metal-edged Hip-Hoppers, Dig Jelly, and rappers Dem Rock and K-E-V, aside from working on numerous motion picture and broadcast projects. VIRUS DIVINE was produced by Little King band member guitarist/singer/songwriter Ryan Rosoff, and he was joined in the studio by bassist Shannon Brady and drummer Wes Kahalekulu. Wes Kahalekulu has recently departed Little King to take care of important family matters, and Scott Marestein, who previously drummed for Little King in 2000-2001, will be rejoining the band on the tour. VIRUS DIVINE will be distributed by Astro America's D1 Music and Innovative Distribution Network (IDN).
According to Howard Lipp, president of Centerline Music and Entertainment, "Little King had built a strong following through consistent touring of the Southwestern and Western United States thanks to Ryan's tireless self-promotion talents as a skilled print and radio promoter, manager and booking agent. The beauty of the Little King/Butane tour is the dates seemed to book themselves thanks to Ryan's contacts and abilities. I'm confident that the tour will expose both bands to a new fan base throughout the Southwest and Western States and we're anxious to see the bands succeed as they tour the rest of the nation, Canada and - eventually - the rest of the world, in 2006 and in years to come."
