March 23, 2005, Petaluma, California - Barry Grzebik is proud to announce the establishment of his new audio systems design and integration consultancy, The Grzebik Design Group. Mr. Grzebik establishes his new consultancy with over 14-years of results-oriented experience in manufacturing and technical sales, audio systems design and integration, and award-winning professional audio equipment, loudspeaker, amplifier and signal processing product design. The services of The Grzebik Design Group include architectural and room acoustics, sound system design, equalization, calibration, and verification, sound isolation, home theater and critical listening environment design, noise control and educational presentations and training, as well as product and industrial design.

Since 1993, Mr. Grzebik previously held the position of director of engineering with Apogee Sound International, the award-winning Petaluma, California-based manufacturer of professional loudspeaker systems. Previous to Apogee Sound, Mr. Grzebik was the founder of Bear Designs of Santa Rosa, California, a boutique manufacturer of musical instrument amplifiers and signal processing.
The Grzebik Design Group provides acoustical consulting services as well as on-sight implementation assistance to both the installed and live sound markets. Additionally, Mr. Grzebik has vast, behind-the-scenes experience in the niche live sound for broadcast market segment having worked on numerous high profile, live television events including countless awards programs, including numerous Academy, Grammy and Emmy Award presentations, and countless sporting and Olympic events.
Mr. Grzebik joined Apogee Sound as a staff engineer handling such tasks as power supply design, PCB layout, as well as telephone and field technical customer service and sales support. Mr. Grzebik advanced through the engineering department ranks, gaining considerable experience by participating in the design of well-known Apogee Sound products, including the TEC Award-winning AE-9 three-way loudspeaker, the ACS and AFI loudspeaker lines, the Apogee Linear Array, one of the first modern compact line arrays brought to market, and the DA800, the first ever 'designed-from-the-ground-up,' Networked Power Amplifier.
Additionally, Mr. Grzebik is a highly-skilled and sought-after CORREQT (Computer Optimized Room Resonance Equalization Technique) "system tuner" and has worked on such events as Cirque de Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall and the Dahli Lama's historic visit to Vancouver in 2004. Mr. Grzebik is also a seasoned industry trade event seminar speaker.

The Grzebik Design Group has recently been subcontracted by leading San Francisco Bay Area-based consultancy JSX Audio to assist in the design of screening room audio systems. JSX Audio's prestigious clients include The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Industrial Light and Magic, Skywalker Sound and Pixar Animation Studios.
