Founded in 1994, by Christopher Buttner, PRThatRocks.com has promoted some of the biggest names in the entertainment technology industry, such as musical instrument and products and recording equipment giants Peavey Electronics, Mackie Designs, Eastern Acoustic Works, Nady Systems, QSC Audio, as well as the publishing division of the prestigous Berklee College of Music, Berklee Press.
It was from the representation relationships with these technology companies where Christopher made many lasting friendships with artists, and their support staff, in all aspects of the entertainment industry.
In a wide range of capacities, from artist endorsement projects, national tour publicity, to CD launches, PRThatRocks.com has worked with some of the biggest bands, or their members, in the world, including Kid Rock, Rush, Van Halen, Sting, Matchbox 20, Dream Theater, and Orgy, to name just a few.
PRThatRocks.com has also represented leading composers, recording studios, and post-production facilities, including Academy Award-winning sound designer (The Hunt for Red October) Frank Serafine and Serafine Studios, the legendary Village Recorder, Beat Street NYC, Sonoma Mountain Studio Estate, and San Francisco's Pyramind Production and Training.

Christopher is a popular guest lecturer to San Francisco State University's “Publicity as a Profession” course, part of the College of Extended Learning's Music/Recording Business Program, the San Francisco Entertainment Commission's Hospitality and Entertainment Academy, Pyramind Production and Training, and the National Association of Recording Industry Professionals.
In July 2007, PRThatRocks.com was featured in PRWeek Magazine, the publicity industry's leading trade publication, for its innovative campaign strategies. Christopher, along with Vancouver-based Singer/songwriter Melanie Dekker, have been nominated for two 2008 Los Angeles Music Awards, for Independent Music Video of the Year and the National Community Service Award of the Year.
The music video for Dekker's single, ‘Fall In/Wounded Soldier,' from her 2006 full-length CD ‘Revealed,' was conceptualized and created by Buttner's PRThatRocks.com agency, as was the marketing campaign used to launch the single and drive CD sales. A portion of the sales of ‘Revealed,' up to $2 million, goes to help wounded soldiers.
Christopher also operates Panoramaniacal Soundscapes, a talent agency representing composers of soundtracks for television, movies, advertising and electronic games.
